Meet Our ASL Instructor
Mrs. Loosle
American Sign Language Instructor
A life rooted in the Deaf community.
Our American Sign Language program is led by an educator whose connection to the Deaf community runs deep. Since her teenage years, Mrs. Loosle has lived, learned, and worked alongside Deaf individuals across the country and beyond, including Salt Lake City, Guam, Austin, and St. George.
Her journey isn’t just professional; it’s personal. She has immersed herself in Deaf culture for decades, building relationships, teaching, advocating, and helping bridge communication between Deaf and hearing communities.
This lived experience shapes every lesson, every classroom interaction, and every student’s learning journey.
Our ASL Program

St. George Academy proudly offers ASL 1–2, with ASL 3–4 available when student interest and enrollment support advanced study. Our program is designed to meet students where they are and help them grow into confident, culturally aware communicators.
ASL 1 — Foundations

• Introduction to Deaf culture
• Facial expressions and non-manual markers
ASL 2 — Communication in Context
• Expanding vocabulary
