A Personalized Path to What's Next

St. George Academy’s Pathways program gives students the opportunity to explore focused areas of interest while building practical, transferable skills. Each pathway is designed to combine hands-on learning, creative thinking, and academic growth so students can gain confidence in the classroom and beyond. Whether a student is interested in engineering, technology, robotics, writing, design, or college readiness, pathways help them turn their interests into meaningful experiences and future opportunities.

Aerospace Engineering Pathway

Study forces, motion, and aerodynamics through hands-on projects.

The Aerospace Engineering Pathway teaches students how to analyze, design, and improve the world around them through engineering principles and experimentation. Students explore concepts like thermodynamics, pressure, statics, dynamics, fluid mechanics, and flight while gaining experience with data collection, analysis, and project development. This pathway is ideal for students who enjoy problem-solving, innovation, and applying science in practical ways.

Students will:

  • Build foundations in engineering ethics, materials, and design thinking
  • Conduct experiments, collect data, and communicate results
  • Develop problem-solving skills through project-based learning
  • Complete an aerospace-focused engineering project in advanced coursework

Code your future. Learn to program, build, design, and create.

The Computer Science Pathway is designed for future software engineers, designers, and innovators. Students build strong programming foundations and expand their skills through digital media, web development, 3D printing, and advanced computer science coursework. This pathway helps students develop technical knowledge while applying creativity to real projects and digital tools.

Students will:

  • Learn coding fundamentals and problem-solving skills
  • Build and publish websites through a web development sequence
  • Create digital media projects using modern design tools
  • Explore prototyping and hands-on making through 3D printing
  • Prepare for advanced study through AP Computer Science

Design machines that move, sense, and respond to the world around them.

The Robotics Pathway blends creativity with engineering to give students hands-on experience in systems thinking, programming, electronics, and collaboration. Students learn how robotic systems work, build and test robots, and strengthen their technical and teamwork skills through challenges and advanced robotics experiences.

Students will:

  • Learn programming skills that support robotics and automation
  • Build and test robots using sensors, control systems, and design principles
  • Develop electronics and troubleshooting skills
  • Collaborate through team-based challenges and real problem-solving
  • Advance into higher-level robotics team experiences

A structured path to college readiness with academics, leadership, and choice.

The College Preparation Pathway is designed to support strong college applications and scholarship readiness. Students follow a rigorous academic plan, take advanced coursework, participate in leadership opportunities, and deepen their experience through involvement in an additional pathway. This pathway helps students graduate with both the preparation and confidence to take their next step.

Students will:

  • Follow a recommended course plan designed for college readiness
  • Build a strong academic profile through advanced and AP coursework
  • Strengthen applications through leadership and pathway participation
  • Finish with a senior-year focus on college and scholarship readiness

Bring stories to life on the page, on the screen, and in interactive worlds.

The Creative Writing Pathway is built for future authors, screenwriters, designers, and storytellers. Students learn how to craft compelling narratives, create engaging characters, explore genre writing, and produce polished work that can become part of a portfolio. Through drafting, revising, editing, and publishing, students strengthen both their creative voice and their communication skills.

Students will:

  • Build plots, characters, and dialogue that engage readers
  • Explore genre writing and develop their own writing style
  • Create stories in multiple formats, including scripts, comics, and interactive narratives
  • Revise and polish work through real feedback and editing cycles
  • Finish with publish-ready pieces and experience sharing work with an audience

Turn creativity into craftsmanship through hands-on costume design.

The Cosplay/Costume Pathway is for designers, makers, and creative problem-solvers who want to build practical skills used in fashion, theater, film, and events. Students learn how to plan, design, sew, construct, and finish costumes and accessories while creating portfolio-worthy projects that showcase both creativity and technical ability.

Students will:

  • Plan and design costumes using references, sketches, and build plans
  • Learn sewing and garment construction from beginner to advanced levels
  • Build props and accessories using foam work and maker-style tools
  • Develop finishing skills including wigs, makeup, and character presentation
  • Complete a full final costume project for a portfolio showcase
